Shipping Policy:
Ameka Aquatics uses FedEx and USPS to safely deliver your packages. For simple shipping calculations, we charge a flat rate for shipping based on your purchase order amount. Please see below for the Shipping Rate Table.
We offer two primary types of shipping to meet most of our customers' needs. If you need, or would like to request alternative shipping options, please contact us directly at service@amekaaquatics.com or call us at 888-764-6491. We will try our best to accommodate your request.
Regular Shipping: Orders requesting Regular shipping will be shipped via FedEx or by USPS Priority Mail. You will receive confirmation of your shipment with tracking details via email (from Fed Ex or USPS) when your order ships. Fed Ex will typically deliver packages anywhere in the United States usually within 5 business days. USPS Priority Mail claims that delivery is expected within 2-3 days (anywhere in the country), however we have found that some times delivery can take longer if traveling to certain parts of the country. We will ship your order with the service that we feel will meet your request the fastest.
The map below (provided by FedEx) shows approximately how long it takes to receive a delivery from our company (shown by number of travel days needed).
Expedited Shipping: Expedited shipping services are provided by FedEx 2day services (delivers by 4:30pm on the business day). Express services must be requested before 3pm Eastern Standard Time to be shipped out the same business day. Orders received after 3pm EST will be shipped the following business day. Please note that the expedited shipping rates do not apply to oversized products (large sumps/refugiums). Oversized products are noted in the product description. To get an accurate expedited shipping quote on oversized products, please contact us directly. We also offer Fed Ex Standard Overnight service (delivers by 3:30pm the following business day), however, please contact us to request this service and get an accurate shipping quote.
Ameka Aquatics does not ship products on weekends and national holidays. If an order is placed on a weekend or holiday, the order will be shipped on the next business day.

When to Expect Your Order
Almost all items on our website are in stock and typically ship within 24 hours of the day we receive the order. Actual time of delivery will depends on the shipping option you choose. Please refer to the FedEx shipping map above to estimate the time of delivery.
Ameka Aquatics does not ship on weekends or national holidays. All orders submitted on weekends and national holidays will be considered placed on the following business day.
Lost Packages
Please report any lost packages to Ameka Aquatics within 14 days of shipping and we will file a claim with the shipping company. It is important that you do not file a claim yourself, or Ameka Aquatics will not be able to replace the order or issue a credit. The claims process takes two to four business days to complete. A replacement order or credit will only take place after the process is completed. Ameka Aquatics in its sole discretion may determine whether to reship a product or issue a credit to method of payment. If we are not notified within 14 days from shipping that a package has not been received, we will not be able to process a claim.
Damaged Packages
Please open ALL packages as soon as you receive the shipment. If you receive damaged packages:
- Keep all packaging materials, the shipping company will need to pick-up and inspect the package as it was originally received. Ameka Aquatics will not be able to replace items damaged in shipping without all of the original packaging materials.
- Call Ameka Aquatics and let us know about the damaged item. Then we can work together to determine the quickest way to replace your damaged item(s).
Typically, we can arrange for immediate pick-up of the damaged item(s) and send a replacement within 24 hours.
Returns and Refunds:
We make every effort to sell you the exact product you need, but we understand that sometimes items don't work out as expected. If this happens to you, please contact us immediately if you are unhappy with the product you ordered. All returns will be given store credit unless otherwise requested and are subject to a 10% restocking/repackaging fee.
Here are the initial steps to take to make a return:
- Contact us by phone or e-mail to obtain a Return Authorization Number (RA#) before you return anything to us. This step must be made within one week of receiving the order.
- Be ready to provide us the following information:
- The original order number (located on packing slip)
- The name of the product being returned.
- Your name, daytime telephone number and e-mail address.
- The original packaging, with all the product's components, instructions, and accessories.
- The item being returned should be in its original, resellable condition.
- All returns must include a Return Authorization number.
- Some products will be sent directly to the manufacturer.
- For your protection, please send the package with a trackable shipping method, such as FedEx or UPS.
